Residence permits available for collection can be picked up at the Immigration desk of the Questura (Police Headquarters) from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm on Mondays andThursdays. On 7thAugust the collection desk will be closed for Arezzo’s Patron Saint's Day.
Those who are resident/domiciled in Bucine, Castelfranco Piandiscò, Cavriglia, Loro Ciuffenna, Montevarchi, S. Giovanni Valdarno and Terranuova Bracciolini must collect their residence titles from the Commissariato di PS di Montevarchi (Police station in Montevarchi) during opening days (unless otherwise stated in the text they received on their phones, if applicable, or unless otherwise agreed upon with the Immigration Office).
Those who are resident/domiciled in Anghiari, Badia Tedalda, Caprese Michelangelo, Monterchi, Pieve Santo Stefano, Sansepolcro and Sestino must collect their residence titles from the Commissariato di PS di Sansepolcro (Police station in Sansepolcro) during opening days (unless otherwise stated in the text they received on their phones, if applicable, or unless otherwise agreed upon with the Immigration Office).
In order to collect their residence permit foreign nationals must show personally the application receipt previously issued to them by the Questura or by the Post Office, their previous residence permit, if they have one, together with their passport. Authorization letters are not admitted.
Those who have a post office receipt will find a password and a userID on it to check the progress of their residence permit issue on the official national website of the Polizia di Stato (enter all password numbers including the last one, except the dash).
Foreign nationals who have received a text on their phone regarding the day, time and place where they can collect their residence permit are not required to adhere to that date – they can collect their document during opening hours of the office indicated in the text even at a later date, at their earliest convenience.
In cases where applications for residence permits/residence cards are submitted in person to the Questura of Arezzo (without using the postal application kit), applicants will not receive a text. They can check if their residence title has been issued by contacting the Immigration Office or the Public Relations Office of the Questura by phone during their respective opening hours.
