“CANTIERI D’ITALIA , basic Italian for building up citizenship”
Italian Ministry of Interior, Department for Immigration and Civil Liberties cooperating with RAI Radio Televisione Italiana (Italian Radio and Television Broadcasting Company) is producing the television programme “CANTIERI D’ITALIA".
Nell'ambito delle attività volte a favorire l'inserimento dei cittadini stranieri, è stato realizzato dal Ministero dell'Interno, Dipartimento per le Libertà Civili e l'Immigrazione, in collaborazione con la RAI - Radio Televisione Italiana - il programma televisivo " CANTIERI D'ITALIA - l'italiano di base per costruire la cittadinanza ". Il progetto è finalizzato a fornire un utile strumento di formazione linguistica ed orientamento civico agli extracomunitari residenti nel paese, anche in funzione al raggiungimento degli obiettivi previsti " dall'Accordo di Integrazione ". Il programma sarà fruibile in varie modalità: Su Rai 2, dal 3 febbraio 2011, ogni giovedì e venerdì, dalle ore 9.45 alle 10.00; Su Rai 2, su Rai Scuola dal 4 febbraio, ogni martedì e venerdì, dalle ore 10.30 alle 11.00; Su Rai 1, dal 24 febbraio 2011, ogni puntata sarà trasmessa, ogni giovedì e venerdì, dalle ore 02.00 alle ore 02.30; Sul sito web www.cantieriditalia.rai.it dedicato ad approfondimenti, e che, oltre a permettere di rivedere ciascuna unità didattica, conterrà i testi di ogni puntata e numerosi materiali extra, come gli esercizi di autovalutazione, guide normative ed ai servizi istituzionali e di progetto. La serie televisiva si svilupperà in 42 puntate, 40 delle quali avranno contenuto didattico e formativo, mentre le altre due riguarderanno aspetti specifici, introducendo gli obiettivi dell'intervento e promuovendo la certificazione del livello di conoscenza linguistica acquisita dai cittadini stranieri che hanno seguito i programmi. Ciascuna delle puntate di formazione standard sarà articolata nelle seguenti sezioni: Benevenuti in Italia! Sit Com che presenta alcune situazioni tipo del nuovo cittadino, omogenee ai contenuti dell'unità didattica; Parlare italiano, approfondimento linguistico - grammaticale; Il Vocabolario Visivo, breve lemmario di base di parole di uso frequente finalizzato a comporre un dizionario di primo uso; Vivere in Italia, approfondimenti sui diritti e doveri dei cittadini stranieri residenti, accompagnati da una bussola di orientamento ai servizi e alle opportunità per i cittadini stranieri; Oggi abbiamo parlato di….., riepilogo in scheda grafica, di tutte le informazioni della puntata e rinvio agli approfondimenti sul sito Web. L'iniziativa in argomento è stata pubblicizzata presso gli uffici dipendenti della Questura di Isernia.

The project aims to provide Non- EU citizens a useful tool for language training and civic education in accordance with the purposes set in the
"Integration Agreement".

The television series is divided into in 42 lessons. 40 episodes show educational and training contents, while the other two regard specific issues, introducing the purposes of the project and promoting the certification of the language level reached by foreign nationals attending the programme .
Every standard training lesson is divided into the following sections: Welcome to Italy ! Sit com performing situations which new citizens are likely to face, in compliance with the matter of the learning unit; Speak Italian, explanation of the language and grammar as well; The visual vocabulary, short list of basic words frequently used in order to dispose of a dictionary ready to use ; Staying in Italy, explanation of foreign nationals rights and duties together with a compass to services and chances for foreign nationals;

This project has been advertised in the Questura (Police Headquarters) Isernia and in the website Polizia di Stato of the Questura di Isernia,
