The Questore

Born in the Province of Cuneo (Piedmont), she was awarded the Police Academy diploma in Rome on completion of the 1st four-year course and graduated in Law, also in Rome, at the “Sapienza” University.

In 1989 she was assigned to the Police Service of Rome international airport “Leonardo da Vinci”, and in 1991 to the Questura (State Police Head Office in the Province) of Turin where she held the positions of assigned official and then chief official of the Foreigners’ Office (today’s Immigration Office).

In 1999 she assumed the post of deputy Cabinet Chief and, having been apponted in 2001 as a member of the Interforce working group for the security planning of the Winter Olympic Games of Turin 2006 as well as the officer in charge of coordinating the interforce policing activities, she was seconded to the duties of Security Observer in the Winter Olympic Games of Salt Lake City 2002 and to the Security planning of the Olympic Games of Athen 2004 in the framework of international security cooperation with the police forces and law-enforcement agencies of such countries. 

As Cabinet Chief, from 2003, her work included the development of public security and policing arrangements for such major Turin events as the 2006 Winter Olympics and Paralympics, 2007 University Winter Olympics, the Holy Shroud Display, and several international summit meetings.   

In May 2015 she became the Director of the Railway Police Department for the Regions of Piedmont and Aosta Valley; then Chief of the Questura of La Spezia in August 2019 and Questura of Modena in October 2021.

After advancing to the rank of General Director of Public Security, in November 2023 she was assigned to the duty of security counsellor for the Ministry of Interior.

As of March 1st, 2024 she is the Questore ot the Province of Genoa.

She was conferred the title of Official of the Italian Republic in 2017 and has been awarded honours for her work on the occasion of the flooding of Piedmont in the  year 2000.
